New Moon on the last day of the Year

Well its been an interesting Year with lots of disasters/troubles in the news, I hope you've not had any in your own lives. It seems natures doing her thing to clean things up symbolically by providing a New Moon on the last day of the Year (31st 03:12). I'm sure there's al-sorts of astrological significance to that, but to me it just seems some how fitting and right. Its a shame that the mellow Christmas waves haven't made it all the way through for the new year, but its most definitely not flat for a celebration in the water this weekend. As for me I'm thinking I'll be out and about with the Camera if the rain holds off and the light is good enough....Just read a lucky escape story about Brian Anderson, who this Christmas managed to punch out a Great White shark which attacked him, while surfing near Seaside, Oregan, USA. Despite deep lacerations to his leg he's expected to make a full recovery, his words "As a surfer, it's your worst nightmare to get attacked by a shark, so you think about it but you don't know what to do until it happens. I just connected on instinct.".
