Seasons, Chuck Norris and Oakley/Surfing Lifes Big Wave awards
Its weird how fast the seasons change, and all in one day based on yesterday, with warm sunshine, cold wind and rain, alternating on an hourly basis. Its just got that feeling of a hard winter coming up, I'm not looking forward to it; especially as the last two winters have been pretty mild, and my bodies forgotten what claw hand is like, and feet that take twos hours to warm. Trawling round the long range forecasts everyone says its going to be a pretty average winter, I hope they're right. On a completely different subject Geoff just pointed me at a great article over at surfline which I'll miss quote as Chuck Norris thinks retro boards are for Feminists, Dirts and Pinkos. And like we need a stoke right now with pumping waves about, but Oakley/Surfing Lifes Big wave awards are worth checking out, to me the best shots are from Shipstern Bluff, especially the rather bowel loosening shot of seeing Justen “Jughead” Allport go over the falls via the roof of the barrel.
