Loco Retro

Why is everyone riding retro-boards again? Why are they going backwards? Technologies moved on! These are words I heard recently and while I'm no shaper or surf master, I do know most of the retro-boards I've played on are easier to ride in more varied conditions, and that means you start having fun sooner, you'll never pull the more extreme maneuvers that modern designs allow, but then again, a lot of us arn't capable of making modern kit do those maneuvers anyway. Its good to experiment and I reckon the more varied the kit you surf, the more likely you are to excel on your weapon of choice; 'vive la difference'.
