Boscombe (aka Bournemouth) Reef

Just been reading the latest on Artificial reefs, Seems our Friends down under in NZ (Mt Maunganui) have a new reef courtesy of a cool $1 million raised by The Mount Reef Trust, and Artificial Surf Reefs (ASR) who designed/built it.

Sounds like a peach, as its meant to copy Hawaii's Pipeline! ASR are the same folks slated to build Europe's first artificial surfing reef in Boscombe, to be completed by Autumn 2007. Anyone for a trip to the South coast in a year and a half?
