It's going to FIRE!
Checked the charts and forecasts again, this weekends going to be HUGE! With one forecast predicting 80ft+ seas on Sunday off Ireland’s west coast, for us in Cornwall more like 25ft+ seas off the coast, so waves hitting the beach with the big period behind it should make for some fun storm watching, and great sheltered spot action...get ready it's going to fire!
I'm already planning to see how many rare sheltered spots I can tick off in one weekend, it feels like a challenge that has to be done.
Me over excited, oh yes.
La and Frank, have fun in Morocco, what a time to go!

OK Dave, enough is enough! I've been out of the water for 10 days now with bursitis of the knee, and progress is very slow so it could take a couple more weeks yet before I'm back. I know it's only "housemaids' knee", but it bloody hurts!!!

I've put up with all your stuff about how good the waves have been, perfect barrels here, mellow shoulders there, day after day! And now you tell me the swell of the century is on its way and reaaly obscure places like Drift Reservoir are gonna work!
Please, mate, have some pity. I only want to hear how bad the banks are at Godrevy, how closey Porthmeor is, and how Hawks is now so busy you have to take the park 'n' ride to get there! Not too much to ask surely???

Keith, bad news on your knee; I have got lucky and scored it recently, mind this weekend has all the hallmarks of the banks not being able to hold the size of the swell, still worth checking out just for the view. Godrevy was looking pretty awesome this eveneing just before dark. I snapped a few pics, I'll maybe upload one in a bit.

And your going to hate me even more for this, but Tony Butt (Surfer, Scientist, Author of "Surf Science") is reported to have said "I've not seen a low like this in 4-5 years", Gulp.
