New swell, Loads of wind, Hollow low tide...

Did you lose a Camera at Tolcarne, Newquay, last Friday the 16th? If so I may be able to reunite you, thanks to Chris, give me a shout, and I can put you in touch with him.

The winds concentrated everyone into the same spots, I finally check back where I started the day, to be honest rather frustrated, its mostly closeouts, but some bombs are rolling through....I've given up surfing, but grab a few shots with the camera as Freddie does fox solo, ok a short-boarder followed him over, but only got one wave, puts my frustration in perspective.

Also scored this grainy shot in the far distance of a nice pit opening up at boilers.

Looked at dismay as my appointments piled up for Saturday afternoon but finally escaped earlier than predicted and rushed down to HP for 4pm. The crowd had eased but the wind had risen to storm force. Amazing waves though, head high and a bit, fast fizzing right handers with huge plumes of spray billowing off the pitching lip. Stayed till dark only had four waves but somehow the howling wind and extreme conditions gave the experience an unusual edge, made my day and drove off with a big smile on my face.
