Save a local beach and logging break in Penzance
Cornwall County Council as part of the Route Partnership’s Isles of Scilly Link project wants to build a passenger terminal, freight depot and lorry park on Battery Rocks beach at Penzance.

At Route Partnership exhibitions in September 2008 and January 2009 close to 9 out of 10 people rejected the plans.
Why am I writing here about it? Apart from the obvious objections, of pouring concrete over a local beach, part of the plans will also dramatically effect one of the best local logging waves as a result of the harbour wall being extended. I hope you'll feel moved to object, the deadline for objections is March 26th, the Object Now Leaflet gives you details on how to object by post or online.
You can read more at the friends of Penzance harbour website, and at the IOS links harbours website.
