OK Surfhog will stay
Sorry for the slow reply folks, I've spent the last 24hrs hugging the toilet bowl, and more importantly missing a great swell. After all your messages, I guess I cant shut surfhog down, I'll look into freshening things up a bit, and letting you guys contribute more content like photos etc... Catch you all at the beach.

Very pleased you have decided to keep going, we need reports like yours.
David George
I know what a thankless task running a surf-site can be as there is always some who know better, but I am really pleased that you have decided to carry on.
We need a broad spread of non-corporate surf related web sites and reports and all the rest surf hog brings.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

I think you should close the website down, there are enough surfers already in the water without "easy surf reports" like this , i mean who enjoys surfing when its crowded? Im sure your a real nice guy but sites like this are taking away the trill of finding good waves with no one out and making the scene a whole lot busier.

Woo hoo! Great news! Jimmy, I'm afraid losing this site would not make any difference to the line up if you have searched for surf reports recently?? This site however, is more than just a surf report and I and the possy at work are glad it lives on! Is it a bug or CSO outfall related Dave? Thanks again!

Congrats on making a great decision to stay open, Sir Fog. I will personally donate you a set wave next time I see you in the water.

Guys, thanks again for the great feedback, how could I abandon you guys. And Jono, I'm not sure what caused the bug, but its the second time in three weeks I've had something like this, and both times surfed Godrevy! Someone was mentioning they start to dump raw sewage from the north cliffs pipe around this time of year when the water temperature gets low enough, maybe its connected?

looks like your popularity won you over in the end eh Dave. Just liked to add that I was in a way pleased that you were going to shut down because its sites like these that make surfing become too main stream and a less enjoyable hobby.

This so called "sport" that i'm involved in and love would be better if some people actually got the real vibe.
peace, Joe.

Being at risk of breaching "freedom of speach" but can u build in a wanker filter on the update? just to block the wank comments
A. Wanker
ps Dave they used to empty the st ives bay holiday tanks around this time of year, no idea if they still do? maybe you should start a "bug/virus forcast" site, but i guess that would make it too easy for everyone to score good bugs/viruses? personaly i'm going old school for my next bug i like to earn my shits the hard way?

I'm working on the wanker filter ;)

Bring on the wanker filter!!! Although it is actually fun to read dumb comments every now again as it makes you realize just how lucky we are! To actually have an ounce of common sense and just how miserable people who leave stupid comments like the ones above from joe blogs and jimmy are.
