beauty. crowds these days are getting ridiculous and many breaks are now best avoided.

Yep, last Thursday in the water was crazy, Godrevy had 45 people in at 6.30am, and the crowds built from there :(

Crow, travelling incognito is so over-rated, I reckon everyone should travel with laughter! Fun waves this evening, I hope you scored a few.

You missed out!! Violence!!!

Not me, i'm peaceful in the waves.... one longboarder trying to snag every wave, some locals got pissy (not me), so dropped in on him.... shouting, abuse, and plenty of dropping in on each other folllowed.
One moral here... everyone needs to share! And longboarders... sit in the line up, not way out back and try to steal every wave that comes in. I can say this as i longbaord on occasions!
It happened again on saturday last... i wonder what delights i'll hear tmrw!

Dave: great shot, that guy must thought he was in some kind of dream: empty wave behind him! and on a Saturday!! BH Monday I got in at GV as it got light, waves not too good due to high tide but only 5 people out. Seek and you will find....oh and set the alarm clock...

JonC, agree it's always worth the search, I went through a period early this year of surfing on my own for weeks at a time, when the swell and wind direction allowed. But more recently rejoined the crowds.

Some of us longboarders sit right out the back to allow those of you on tooth-picks the space to thrash your way to the beach on any old shite while we wait for the one wave that allows us a decent glide. I regularly leave waves i could easily catch for the short boarders on the inside in the hope that they don't drop in on me when i do take one!!
