Did anyone actually attend this event? Drove though Crackington Haven 3 times and the place was dead!! No signs, posters or people!
Paul
If you turned up a 20:22 mate, you should've checked in the pub...
chris
No mate. Was there at 12.00, 12.30 and 15.45. Didn't see a thing!
Paul
I was going to go up myself, sounds like it was a good call I didn't.
Dave
It was on, boards were in the pub not the SLSC, not sure it was worth the trip from way down west though.
anonymous
there was a ton of boards and people there most of the day, and if you stuck around, you would have seen a guest appearance from Thom Yorke playing a set in pub during the after party. If that isn't worth it, not sure what you expected...
chris
Great day, some lovely looking boards and even had my hair cut by Mr Natty, barber to the Royals.
Russ Pierre
Chris, now thats sounds like a hard thing to top for next year! Gutted I missed it now.
Dave
Was only giving my opinion Chris. I went up because I am looking to get something on the lines of a mini simmons but am unsure what size to get. Not knowing who the shapers were in relations to the boards that were on offer I hung around, eyed a few up and felt a few thinking that if I showed an interest, someone might show an interest in me. As it was Tim Stafford was the only person who approached me and we had a quick chat about his designs (nice looking boards but not really what I'm after). Maybe if I was a bit more outgoing and talked to random people there I would have got more out of it but I'm not. So for me it wasn't worth the trip, and I've not been a big fan of Thom Yorke since OK computer! That being said a lot of people did seem to be having a good time but I can't help think those people already new each other, still was nice of those people involved to put it on.

Oh, so that's who Thom Yorke is.

We had an amazing time at the fish fry! Only knew a couple of people and I've never been to Crackington before but everyone was so friendly and intresting! Not to mention all the beautiful boards! Shame the surf was blown out, but that can't be helped, and it was a wicked weekend all the same. Well worth the drive down from Bournmouth!
molly
Now I know Crackington Haven isn't very big, but where exactly were all these boards and people? I spent an hour in the village at about 12.30 and only saw one old guy go for a surf, a couple of kids with bodyboards, a few people in the cafe and a few people smoking outside the pub!! The csr park was only even half full!! I drove for hours to get to this event but Crackington was like a ghost town! There was no signs, posters or flags advertising this event! And all I wanted was some Oggy Wax. Was the Oggy Wax guy there?
Paul
